EMPTY SPACE
Brand Identity
Logo — 2025
Empty Space is a curatorial collective focused on activating and rethinking exhibition spaces. The identity I developed for them is built around the concept of intentional absence—treating space not as a backdrop, but as the subject. I used a modern, neutral typeface as a base, then manipulated the letterforms to reflect this idea of disruption and minimalism. By elongating the "m" in “empty,” I created a visual interruption—an architectural gesture—that became the brand’s signature.
This typographic intervention evolved into a modular graphic language. From the altered "m," I designed two additional logos and a set of geometric icons that act as spatial markers across print and digital materials. The system plays with rhythm, tension, and balance—mirroring the curators' approach to staging their exhibitions. Applied across posters, letterhead, and grid-based layouts, the identity remains adaptable while maintaining a strong and distinctive core.
